NFL Saturday Preview: Saints vs. Seahawks

First year coach Pete Carroll will square off against Drew Brees and the defending Super Bowl champs this Saturday at 4:30.  The Saints are currently a 10.5 point favorite with the over/under set at 44.  Seattle made NFL history by becoming the first team with a losing record to play for a division title.

New Orleans will be without running backs Pierre Thomas and youngster, Chris Ivory.  The Saints will be left with Reggie Bush and the one time Seahawk, Julius Jones.  About 60% of bettors are currently backing the Saints.  However, there are a few interesting things to point out when looking into this matchup.  Such as, Matt Hasselbeck has had his 2 best games in terms of passing yards against the Saints in the past six seasons.  Also, Hasselbeck has won his last 4 post season starts at home.  The Saints have lost their past 3 postseason games.

Seattle is a tough place to play.  The place will be loud and the fans and team will be rowdy and poised for a victory.  Pete Carroll has always been a winner and will give the Saints more than they expect.  We're rooting for the underdog here.  Let's go Seahawks.

Prediction:
Seahawks +10.5
Over 44
